This Scott Chambliss designed vessel was a 'must have'item for me when i heard that it was to be included in the official starships collection..The design of this vessel ,for me,looks impressive on screen .And it also looks nice as a  display model.

This is  a very nice design..I like the way that the 22nd bird of prey looks like a precursor of the Nilo- Rodis-Jamero designed 23rd century bird of prey.And the hints as to what the design would change into by the time of Star Trek III:the search for spock.

Deep Space Nine

I think this is one of the best models in the official starships collection.I know that the ops center does not have a communications array on top of it.But it is still  a nice model to look at.

I think this is one of the best models in the official starships collection.I like the metallic colouring of the saucer section.It  is similar to the vessel that appears on screen.And it does give a nice effect when i take a snap.

USS Enterprise NCC 1701 (2009) and USS Reliant by eaglemoss

Below are the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (2009) from the movie Star Trek  and the USS Reliant NCC -1864 from the 1982 movie Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan.Both of these models are from Eaglemoss.

I do like these Models from Star Trek:The official Starship Collection by Eaglemoss.They are highly detailed and i got a free magazine as well which was very informative.

In my opinion this magazine is just as good the star trek reference books of the past Such as Mr.Scotts guide to the enterprise or the Captains logs.For example  i couldn't visualize how Mr Scott's ship from the episode Relics of Star trek The Next generation was a reuse/modification of a shuttlecraft.Even though they explained that this was done in earlier reference books

.So when one of the mags showed how this process was done , the magazine cleared a small mystery for me.And my estimation for the magazine increased.Because now it was not only just a good read ,such as  a starlog magazine,for example,.But it also became  fun reference material just like the star trek encyclopedia.

 This version of the Enterprise cost me nearly twenty one pounds when it was released.I'm glad i got it when i did..But now,i have seen it on sale at  amazon for nearly 72 pounds including postage and packing.That is nearly three times its original price.And the USS Reliant cost me Nine pounds  and ninety nine pence  and now costs nearly thirty three pounds on ebay including postage.But that depends on which seller you buy from and their geographical location.

So assuming i do not have the  eaglemoss USS enterprise NCC-1701 (2009) and the USS Reliant NCC-1864,what  else could i spend one hundred and five pounds on instead?

To make the study simple i will limit the choice only to food.So in this case i could have spent that money on packets of bread or any combinations of food  up to that price limit. of one hundred and five pounds.

Battlestar Galactica over a caprican city.

Below is the Battlestar Galactica.It is flying inside the atmosphere over a an unnamed Caprican city.Heading towards an unspecified  planet-based colonial dockyards.

The original Galactica could fly inside the atmosphere of a planet.At least i think it did in the comic books.To be specific Galactica 1980.

Anyway, i always liked how in star wars ,specifically in the prequel trilogy,  how the republic attack cruiser,acclamator class, could land on the surface of a planet.Even on water.

So i thought if the galactica could survive the extremes variations of space travel.Would it not be able to land on the surface of a planet ?Since it might need repairs or the crew require shore leave.

I know that in the nu galactica they had orbital shipyards at scorpia.And in the Rick Berman various Star Trek series they had the orbital utopia planitia shipyards.But in star trek (2009) the USS Enterprise was assembled in iowa, Earth.So there is a precedent for planetary landings of large spacecraft  in movie Sci-fi.

I used the konami battlestar galactica for this snap.It originally cost about ten pounds .It currently costs about 50 pounds including postage and packing on eBay and other places.

So supposing i don't have the konami galactica,what could i have spent the fifty pounds on instead?

To make the study simple i will limit the choice only to food.So in this case i could have spent that money on bags of Aunt Bessie's Homestyle Chips (1.6Kg) or any combinations of food  up to that price limit of fifty pounds.

USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (2009) from special issue 2 of Star trek :the official starships collection

This is from special issue 2.And the model itself is twice the size and price of a regular issue model.But i think this version was worth every penny.

This version of the Enterprise cost me £20.99 when it was released.But now,i have seen it on sale at  amazon for nearly 72 pounds including postage and packing.That is nearly three times its original price.So the value keeps on increasing on the JJ Abrams version  of this ship.

So assuming i did not have the JJ Abrams version of the enterprise,what else could i have spent that money on?

To make the study simple i will limit the choice only to food.So in this case i could have spent that money on 69 bags of Aunt Bessie's Homestyle Chips (1.6Kg) or any combinations of food  up to that price limit.

USS Vengeance from Star Trek official Starships collection

This is  the third special issue is the  to be published.The design of this model is very nice.I think the aztecing works well on it.I I think this version of the USS Vengance is a highlight of  these eaglemoss starships.

This model cost originally  £20.99.It already  can cost nearly seventy one pounds on ebay including posting and packing.But this depends on how much a person is willing to pay for the USS Vengeance ,
So supposing the uss vengeance sold out at that price what else could i have bought with that money instead?

Restricting the choice to food only, in order to make the scenario easier for me to understand, i could have bought 50 Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Poppy Seed Topped Bloomer (800g) or any combination of foods up to that price.

Eaglemoss NCC 1701-E and Konami NCC 1701-E

In the picture below on the right hand side is the eaglemoss NCC1701-E from issue 21 of star Trek :the official starships collection issue 21. And on the left handside is the Konami NCC1701-E.

As you can see from the picture ,the view of  NCC 1701-E model by eaglemoss is slightly concealed by its display stand. But it still is  nicely detailed model of  the NCC1701-E from  star trek first contact.

The eaglemoss NCC1701-E  originally cost £9.99 when it was first released. If you include postage and  packing then today it can cost between nearly  twenty one pounds and   forty pounds  depending where you buy it on ebay. and amazon.

So suppose i didn't have  the  NCC1701-E. What could i have bought instead of the NCC1701E with £39.99 ?
In this case, i could bought  10 boxes Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars - Oats & Honey (10x42g) or any combination of any foodstuffs, such as packets of bread ,that  i wanted within that price limit.

Konami Enterprise-E and Eaglemoss Enterprise-E

In the picture below We have two versions of the NCC 1701-E.On the left hand side is the konami enterprise-e and on the right is the eaglemoss version...

As you can see the eaglemoss version is slightly obscured by its display stand.

No longer in production,today the konami version of the enterprise-e currently sells for nearly thirty six pounds including postage and packing from some sellers on ebay.

So, supposing i didn't have the konami version of the ncc-1701-E what could i have bought with that thirty six pounds?

Well, in this case i could have  bought 27 Sainsbury's Tiger/Giraffe Bread (800g)

welcome to the first post in my blog .
In these posts im going to show some of my favourite space toy models.So without further a do:

As you can see in the above pic(s) is the starfleet runabout from star trek :starships collection issue 32. And next to it is the klingon bird of prey from issue 3.This was a must have for me,But I nearly did not buy this model.I thought that it would one of those 'sold out' ones.But i'm glad i found it.
It cost £9.99.A penny less than £10.00.So, what could i have bought instead with that money had i not have found that starfleet runabout in the shops?
Well, i could have bought 8 packets  of Warburtons Sliced Soft Farmhouse White Bread (800g)
